Huddersfield In Bloom

The team spent much of spring preparing for our ‘Huddersfield In Bloom’ campaign.

This encouraged town centre businesses to get extra creative with unwanted, everyday items that would otherwise go to waste. The Huddersfield BID team were able to re-use, recycle and re-invent a range of materials and turn them into ‘bloomin’ brilliant’ displays which were then showcased around town.

Here’s a breakdown of the items that we included within our displays:

  • 10 rugby balls
  • 6 pairs of shoes
  • 3 pairs of jeans
  • 30 pop bottles
  • 35 bottle bags
  • 20 coffee cups

It was great to see businesses such as Tesco, Huddersfield RSPCA, HIVE cafe/community group and Shaake get inventive with their own ideas- the weekend brought with it lots of community spirit which was heightened by celebrations of the Queen’s Jubilee.

Social media audiences were able to see sneak peaks of our creations week by week and share their own works-in-progress.
