Huddersfield to bloom for Queen’s jubilee

This year, Huddersfield BID would like to bring businesses together to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee by encouraging them to contribute towards a huge town centre floral display on 2nd – 6th June.

Businesses and organisations are encouraged to up-cycle and use recycled materials to create displays around town. Prizes will be given for the most creative ways that businesses have used materials.

By taking part, you’ll encourage visitors to come and see the very best version of Huddersfield. Not only are you promoting a fantastic image for your company, you’re also helping us to transform our town centre into an attractive and lively destination.

If you’re a BID zone business, we’d love for you to take part by dressing up shop fronts, pavements and alleyways.

We’ll be hosting a variety of events in the run up to the jubilee, including a song and dance celebration with talented vocalist Helen Rowen.

Sam Sharp, Huddersfield BID manager, comments: “We hope that businesses within the Huddersfield BID zone take part in making Huddersfield Bloom. This year we will celebrate the Queen’s Platinum jubilee with a 1940s singer, to celebrate the occasion along with a British tradition of Tea and Cake. We hope this will be an annual event where businesses can make the town bloom with colourful, inventive displays to welcome visitors to our wonderful town.
