Join us as Huddersfield comes together to welcome the Christmas season with a magical town-wide fairy light procession! Visitors, businesses, and the community are invited to enjoy festive entertainment, walkabout performers, and later, treats from a Christmas-themed market.

Participants will collect their own string of fairy lights during the afternoon and gather in their designated zones, ready for the procession to begin at around 5 pm. As the procession moves through the town centre, entertainers will lead the crowds in a grand Christmas sing-along, and a videographer will capture the sparkling event from above.

The evening concludes with the final fairy lights glowing in the central spot of St. Peter’s Garden, where visitors can continue the festivities with carols inside the Huddersfield Parish church or enjoy the Christmas market within the gardens. Who doesn’t love something free and a good old sing-along to some Christmas classics?
