On Saturday 24th June Huddersfield’s very own Comic-Con event, Get Your Geek On (GYGO) arrives to entertain the whole family and showcase all our town centre has to offer.

Get your Cosplay outfits ready for an unforgettable Comic-Con-themed event right in the heart of Huddersfield.

What can I expect to see?

🎁 At the top of New Street and St Georges Square, you’ll browse local and independent businesses to find rare geeky items and nostalgic gifts. 

🏎️ Work your way down King Street for the ultimate movie car experience.

Lightening McQueen, The Batmobile, from Dark Knight Trilogy,  Back to the Future DeLorean, and lots of cop cars will be there.

🦖 Immerse yourself in all things dinosaur at the Jurassic Zone in Market Place.

🦈 Watch out for the unexpected in the Byram Arcade it’s hosting the Jaws photo experience.

🎥 The Piazza grassed area will host a free movie prop experience, be sure to get your cameras ready!

🌟 Jabba? Stormtroopers? Be transported into a world of Star Wars at the Star Wars Experience in The Packhorse Centre.  

Special appearances throughout the day by Bumblebee and Hulk Buster.

How can I take part?

Bring the whole family to Huddersfield Town Centre on Saturday 24th June, dress up as your favourite character or Cosplay, follow the Activity Trail, and join in with the fun!

Do I need to book? 

This is a free event for all the family to enjoy. There is no need to book, just come along on the day and join in the fun.
