HUDDERSFIELD BID ZONE TOPS THE CHARTS FOR POST – LOCKDOWN HIGH STREET SPENDING.

According to the Centre for Cities, Huddersfield topped the national charts for consumer spending, following the lifting of lockdown restrictions.

When it comes to supporting local businesses, the people of Huddersfield are front of line. Businesses in Huddersfield Town Centre appreciate the support from its locals who have passionately supported its town’s economy and pushing to keep jobs alive. Huddersfield town centre has truly challenged the negative perceptions in these challenging times.

Sophie Patel, Huddersfield BID’s Marketing and Projects executive comments, “There is nothing more rewarding than working and living in a town in which people support one another – demonstrating the love we have for our town and its businesses. As someone who lives and works in Huddersfield and has taken much pride in this beautiful town, I am keen to push BID initiatives to continue promoting Local shopping through campaigns such as, Shop Local – WIN Big, the Lego TrailTalk up the Town and much more effective and new initiatives to improve the town centre we all love”.

As well as topping the chart for high street recovery, Huddersfield tops the concentration of jobs across Huddersfield. More information can be found here.
